Cedarecrest Garden Helps Flatten the Curve

Posted by Beth Seely on

Dear friends,

As we face this issue of coronavirus together in our community, we wanted to share a message with you to update you on what we’re doing here at Cedarcrest Gardens and assure you our team is doing everything we can to continue to grow and care for the flowers and plants you’ll look to us for this spring and summer.

As the situation evolves, your health and wellbeing and that of our valuable employees is our priority. We have made the very difficult decision to temporarily close our store to walk-in guests effective today, March 19th. I can’t believe I’m having to write this as we prepare for spring, a time for getting outdoors and coming to the greenhouse, but it’s an easy decision for us to make, putting the health of our staff and you first.

However, at this moment Cedarcrest Gardens mission is to be your local connection to plants, seeds and fun, does not change. This is why effectively immediately we are launching two new initiatives, personnel shopping and curbside pick-up. We are still receiving new product and will be posting everything on our facebook page as it arrives and what we currently have in stock.

There you will be able to shop and purchase your seeds, soils, houseplants and more. Simply phone in or message us your order and it will be available for pick up in our parking lot or delivered to your door (within a service area). As you know, we have thousands of beautiful plants and products at Cedarcrest Gardens. It will take time to add them to our facebook page – we appreciate your patience. We have staff ready to assist via the phone (506-658-1112) to help you with purchases or answer any questions.

While many things have been postponed or cancelled, spring is not cancelled. Our loyal growing team will continue their essential work growing the plants that we can’t wait to enjoy soon. Their vital work keeping the plants and produce we grow for you thriving is essential and we’re grateful for our amazing team! To protect our team at work, we’ve taken many steps to ensure their personal health. This includes restricting retail operations to reduce contact with others and enforcing social distancing, to separating their workstations and of course, having hand sanitizing for everyone.

Now, as always, our team of Cedarcrest Gardens stand ready to help deliver the joy of spring and summer to our community. We look forward to serving you once again in-store when it’s deemed appropriate by our trusted local health authorities.

Take care, be well. Remember to check in with friends and loved ones. While many things may be closed or cancelled, hope is not cancelled. Gardening is not cancelled.
