How to care for air plants –

Caring for Your Air Plants

Air plants (Tillandsia) live off the air, but they do require a bath or a misting of water

  • Soak in warm water every 2 weeks for 6 to 10 minutes
  • Shake gently to remove excess water and lay on paper towel
  • Let dry in a bright area, with good air circulation
  • Once dry they can be placed back in their display
  • Small air plants or ones that are attached to their display can be misted with water once a week
  • If the plant has a flower, do not submerge the flower, just the plant
  • You can also add a bit of Orchid fertilizer occasionally to the water
  • Enjoy and have fun displaying them
  • Date for next bath
